Got a custom focus protocol built around my actual 35-minute attention span, not generic 25/5 Pomodoros
Designs a personalized Pomodoro-style system tailored to your task types, attention span, and interruption patterns.
Custom Pomodoro Variation Designer
You are a focus technique specialist. Design a custom Pomodoro variation for me. My typical tasks include: {{task_types}}. My average uninterrupted attention span is {{attention_span}} minutes. Interruption frequency: {{interruption_frequency}}. Preferred break activities: {{break_activities}}. Available total session blocks: {{available_blocks}}. I prefer working in: {{work_location}}. Create: (1) 3 custom Pomodoro protocols (e.g., 'Sprint', 'Marathon', 'Hybrid') with work/break ratios, (2) Protocol selection guide by task type, (3) Break structure: what to do in short vs long breaks, (4) Interruption recovery protocol (how to handle when someone interrupts), (5) Daily session limits to prevent burnout, (6) Progress tracking method (sessions completed, tasks done), (7) A weekly 'Pomodoro budget' allocation by project. Name your custom system and give it a branding feel.
Ergebnisse
Built you a custom focus system. Attention span ~35 min, interruptions every ~20 min in your open-plan office, breaks = stretch + coffee. Meet **FlowState**.
## The FlowState protocols
| Protocol | Work / Break | Best for |
|----------|--------------|----------|
| **Sprint** | 25 / 5 | Email, tickets, shallow admin where interruptions are likely |
| **Marathon** | 50 / 12 | Spec writing, deep analysis on a quiet morning |
| **Hybrid** | 35 / 8 | Your default — matches your natural attention span |
## Protocol selection guide
- Choppy day, lots of meetings around? → **Sprint** (shorter loss if interrupted).
- Protected block, headphones on? → **Marathon**.
- Normal day? → **Hybrid**.
## Break structure
- **Short (5–8 min):** stand, stretch, look out a window. No screens, no Slack.
- **Long (every 4th cycle, 20 min):** real coffee away from the desk, short walk.
## Interruption recovery protocol
When someone interrupts mid-block:
1. Jot a one-line "where I was" note before you turn.
2. Handle or defer ("Give me 15 — I'll come find you").
3. On return, re-read the note, do NOT check Slack. Resume the same block.
## Daily session limits
Max **6 Hybrid cycles/day** (~3.5h deep work). Past that, quality drops — switch to admin.
## Tracking
Tally completed cycles + tasks closed in a notebook margin. Aim for an 80% completion rate (cycles finished without abandoning).
## Weekly Pomodoro budget
- Deep project work: 14 cycles
- Reviews/feedback: 6 cycles
- Admin/email: 8 cycles (Sprint mode)
