Extension permissions and privacy
We keep the extension's access as narrow as possible. Here's the full picture.
What it can access — and why
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| Access to the supported AI sites | Read your selection and insert prompts into the chat input. Limited to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Mistral. |
| storage | Cache your library locally so it loads instantly and works offline. |
| sidePanel | Display your prompt library beside the chat. |
| scripting / activeTab | Insert prompt text into the active input field. |
| clipboardWrite | Copy a prompt when direct insertion isn't possible. |
| alarms | Run periodic background sync. |
| contextMenus | Add the right-click "Save as prompt" entry. |
| Access to prompt2love.com and storage host | Sync prompts and load attachments. |
The extension does not run on websites outside this list. It does not read your browsing history or track other tabs.
What leaves your browser
Only the data tied to your prompts: text you explicitly save, and sync traffic with your account. Page content is read only at the moment you trigger a save or insert — nothing is collected passively.
Revoke the extension's access
The extension authenticates with a personal API key, so revoking it cuts off access instantly.
- Open prompt2love.com and log in.
- Go to Settings → Verbundene Apps (Connected apps).
- Find the extension's API key and click Revoke (delete).
- The extension can no longer sync. To reconnect later, generate a new key and paste it into the extension.
You can also remove the extension entirely via chrome://extensions — right-click the icon and choose Remove.
